Day 49: 365 Days of Motivation for Widows

“Perhaps I am stronger than I think.”   –Thomas Merton

You bet! It is hard to imagine what you are capable of until you are faced with it. Here you are, faced with what once seemed impossible. You have the skill to get through this. What skills you lack can be learned. Books/blogs/webpages, support groups, counseling, and friends with experience all will help you navigate through the crisis. One thing is for sure, your life will be different, but it will also be worth the effort. So, buckle down and go to it.

My name is Sara and I am a woman with a history and a future. I am a mother of 5 and a Counselor. Being a teen mother and a widow in my mid-twenties has given me plenty of storms to weather. Writing has always been my solace, it's also a passion and a talent. Through my writing I hope to help others weather their storms and create my own path to my dreams.

    1. Well, I write to share in the hopes that it helps. When you tell me it does exactly that, my heart shines and it makes me even more excited to get out there and share.

In my circle of friends when things come together just right we say “it’s such a God thing”. We say that because some things happen just so perfectly–just in the way and in the time we need–there is no other explanation. God’s hand is guiding us. It certainly feel as though he is in guiding my words and he brought us together. It’s an amazing and beautiful thing. His way of taking care of you when you need it most. I hope that I can continue to be apart of this transformation for you.

Take care, Lois. And really, I’m so glad you are here.
