“Hanging on to resentment is letting someone you despise live rent-free in your head.”
–Ann Landers
Whether you lost your spouse through natural causes or an accident, most widows carry some resentment and anger. It is part of the process–and it’s absolutely understandable. There does come a time when we need to move through the steps of grief before you heal. If you are struggling with anger or resentment, seek help to move forward. Talk to friends, talk to a counselor, or talk to God–whatever helps you through. Because when you live with that resentment, you are letting your enemy have the power. Or, as this quote says, ‘live rent-free’. Your enemy has taken enough of you–take back your power.
